Mission Statement
New Moon Artists (NMA) is a group of Bay Area women artists who share a common passion for creating art that speaks to them and others. Founded under a new moon in 2025, the collective was forged to offer members a way to connect and support each other as artists, and to leverage their diverse approaches and media to share with the greater community. When NMA exhibits, we hope to present to the world something that is greater than its individuals or the sum of its parts and contribute to the dialogue of the human experience.
About
As artists, we believe art is created for a myriad of reasons. Perhaps sometimes it is just for the creator. Sometimes it’s to be seen by a larger audience and sometimes it belongs in more intimate settings- the rooms where life actually happens: over the kitchen table, above the desk, at the end of a long hallway. Every piece starts as a feeling, thought, creative spark or experience and ends when the artist establishes that it can be considered “finished”. Whether each piece becomes part of a gallery or a private collection, we find joy in sharing our art with community, big & small. If you’re building a gallery wall, looking for just the right gift or creating your own inspirational space, please get to know our artists and discover your next favorite piece!
